What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of mind-body exercise that strengthens muscles, improves flexibility, enhances co-ordination, and supports the development of good posture.

Pilates exercises are suitable for people of all ages and levels of ability, as long as medical conditions don't contraindicate it.

Pilates exercises consist of those that can be done on a mat with a minimal amount of equipment, or those that can be done in a studio on a variety of pieces of equipment referred to as the reformer, trapeze table, wunda chair, and barrel.
