Happy Summer Travels! It's such a pleasure to be out and about again enjoying new places and gatherings.

For those of you who are excited to get around but also want to maintain your weight, especially if you've worked hard to lose any extra Pandemic weight gain, the idea of eating out daily on the road can add some stress.

Here are some tips to deactivate that stress so you can relax your mind and body and simply enjoy every day's new experiences.

Have you had the experience where you’re preparing for a trip by eating healthier so you can feel like your best self while you’re traveling, yet you’re also super excited to try tasty new food at your destination?

It’s possible to maintain healthy eating habits while also having fun during your travels! All it takes is some planning and mindfulness. Here’s how.

Build a Deficit Before the Trip

First, I encourage living in the moment—for your life as it unfolds right now. You know that you want to eat a little more than usual while traveling, so prepare for it. Build a deficit. For example, eat lightly for 1-2 weeks before your trip. Eat smaller portions, less fats and sweets, fewer snacks.
